VELORA for Schools — Human Mapping & Guidance Platform
VVELORA

The Science

Research-informed — honestly labelled

VELORA uses a multidimensional, research-informed framework for career exploration. It is not a validated psychometric instrument.

RIASEC interests (Holland)

Six interest themes — Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising and Conventional — widely used in career guidance.

Whole-person fit

Interests alone do not predict satisfaction. Research on person–environment fit supports considering values, strengths, work style and context too.

Career Decision Self-Efficacy (CDMSE)

Confidence in researching, planning and choosing paths relates to exploration. VELORA presents this as an area for support, not judgement.

Interest–major congruence

Research suggests interest and field-of-study alignment relates to satisfaction and persistence — a reason to explore, not a guarantee.

Career readiness (OECD)

OECD research emphasizes exploration, work experiences and broad career awareness; VELORA includes real-world tasks.

Important disclaimer

VELORA uses original items and transparent scores. The product itself needs independent validation and must not be used for diagnosis, selection or admissions.

Human Map question sources

VELORA’s original questions were informed by this research and these books. They are not copies of validated measures or a diagnostic tool, and their reliability and validity have not yet been independently established.

Assessment Blueprint

Every question is mapped to a construct, the dimensions it feeds, and the theoretical framework that informed it.

VELORA’s assessment framework is informed by established vocational-interest, career-adaptability, career-decision self-efficacy, motivation, and educational frameworks, with the VELORA-specific item set undergoing its own validation process.

How scoring works: the full table

Every question and option is linked to a dimension, a weight and the study fields and career groups it feeds. Totals are added up from answers only; "I don't know yet" scores zero. The AI Coach only explains these results — it never creates or changes them.
